Differniture foundered in 2014 by Parsons the New School for Design alumna Aakriti Kumar is a furniture design atelier rooted in New Delhi that embraces an alternative and sustainable approach to design. Our premise is to merge the sculptural integrity of art with the functional values of design into a sustainably produced product with the help of using reclaimed and salvaged materials and adopting a zero or minimal waste design philosophy (along with finishing our products using natural and non toxic oils and waxes).
We Create alternative pieces of furniture for a niche audience. We understand that every home is unique as well as every customer. Thus emphasizing on a customization module is an important aspect of this business. Leave it to us to alter the design, size and finish to you taste as well as to match your environment.
We believe strongly in sustainable practices and this can be seen in our varied use of reclaimed material and manufacturing techniques.
