Perspective Magazine 40 Under 40 Design Awards, Hong Kong May 2017
Perspective, Asia’s leading architecture and design magazine, proudly presented the 11th edition of its annual 40 Under 40 Awards, with a presentation ceremony on 23 May at The Annex, Nan Fung Place 2F-6, 173 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong.
Recognising young design talents from across Asia, there were a record number of nominations for the 2017 edition in four design fields — art, architecture, interior design and product design. The final 40 were chosen based on professional achievements, contributions to the industry, and potential for future development and growth. Consideration was also given to any awards won, participation in industry events as a speaker, panelist, or judge level (where applicable) and contributions to society.
Differniture’s Aakriti Kumar won a spot in the list of 40 under 40 product Designers from all over asia.

BeOpen Design Detail Open Call winner-Differniture
The BE OPEN Foundation is happy to announce the winner of our #BeOpenDesignDetails open call. Our congratulations go to Aakriti Kumar @differniture, a product designer from India. Aakritri’s impressive “Intrepid Bench” has won her the prize of €300. The winner was selected by a jury comprised of BE OPEN Founder Yelena Baturina and members of the advisory board from the list of entries with the most views and likes.

ILA 2016 (Interior Lifestyle Awards)
Differniture (furniture design) and Idam(textiles) teamed up to curate a stall based off of the theme Metamorphosis and how it pertains to our 5 senses. Differniture won the title of best product designer at ILA. As part of the award, Messe Frankfurt will be taking the winning stall ‘Metamorphosis’ and showcasing the work at the talent section of the Ambiente show to be held in February in Frankfurt, Germany.
